2 Key Business Tips for Business Startup Success
In this post I'd like to talk to you about 2 fundamental keys to business success.
There are many things people recommend as starting points for new businesses and entrepreneurs, however time and time again, I notice that a lot of people don't focus on these 2 tips, which may account for why 80% of new businesses fail within the first year of operation.
The missing link in your business
If the economy is putting pressure on your business, I've got some pretty incredible resources for you that aren't going to cost a cent.
Recently, a phenomenal event took place called Engage Today. It brought together many of the world's top business and thought leaders, including people like:
** Richard Branson
** His Holiness the Dalai Lama
** Dr. Stephen R. Covey
** Tony Hsieh
** Lynne Twist
** Les Brown
** Joe Polish
** David Wolfe
** Eben Pagan
** Janet Attwood
** Bill Harris
No more New Year's Resolutions
Happy New Year, as the going says. Instead of writing some long post I'm going to just play you this little video I did as I was doing some of my usual beginning of year planning.
Happy Holidays as the say in the US, and Merry Christmas to all!
So the year is about to come to a close and the question a lot of people will have on their minds is whether they have had a good or a bad year. The festive season really brings home the accomplishments and the let downs of the year as the family gathers around and give thanks to each other.
When you look back at the year you’ve had, do you have good warm fuzzy feelings about a year well lived? Or are you perhaps thinking that you’ll make next year better? Well whatever you have done or achieved this year, it can only mark as a benchmark for next years activities.
You see as we carry on in life, a lot of people settle with just coasting along and hoping things will get better, but only a very small percentage of those will actually take committing action towards their dream life.
I know for sure as I made a lot of decisions and actions which even though did not end up where I was planning to, still lead me to new and exciting places where I’ve had many new learnings and made many new friends.
We are all Creators, trusting and loving - spread your imagination
As I sit here in Hong Kong’s Chek Lap Kok Airport awaiting my final return flight back to London, I am reminiscing already about the highlights of this great trip and already wondering when I will do something like this again.
In many of my blogs and video blogs, I have spoken about lots of different topics ranging from my insights into creating wealth and success, through to photography tips and tricks. This has been one incredible journey that will not be forgotten. I have learnt so much in such a short space of time that I will have to do some in depth planning before I put things into action.
One of the worst things you can do with information is to get all mixed up and do the wrong thing first. I know I have spoken a lot about action, and action is indeed very key to getting things on the road, however if you act without thinking, you will sometimes create more damage than good. The reason I emphasis action so much is because for the most part, this is the show stopper for a lot of people.
My next words about careful action are aimed at those who do take immediate action, but perhaps sometimes end up starting a lot of things but not finishing. It is important to recognise that the information one learns, which must be acted upon, must also be done with wisdom and intelligence. There has been too many times in world history where good useful information has been acted upon in bad ways, and the consequences were that lives were lost.
The Development of Coaching has moved on in the UK
The development of coaching in the UK has moved on dramatically over the last few years. I would even go so far as to suggest that mass media products like The Secret has placed the whole idea of personal development and coaching, back into the forefront as learning tools which should be embraced by society.
Short term vs long term decisions
I'm always intrigued with people and the decisions they make in life, whether that is a conscious choice or not or whether they let the external influences, or the Effects, change their behaviour in such a way that it actually harms them, but still continues ahead regardless.
What I mean by this is really how people behave and interact amongst themselves and between each other. I'm always fascinated by how when you can be logically speaking to someone about their choices and/or behaviours, but these will instantly change when other people are involved.
A classic example is the whole social scene where people go out to public gatherings endlessly for the purposes of sociability, fun and enjoyment. All this is of course aimed at getting a huge sharp and fast dose of happiness. A short term remedy, because as we all know, the deep long term fulfilled happiness comes with other kinds of activities.
I'm not saying this is a bad or a good thing. These are both different shots of happiness and will require different methods in order to achieve them, however, what always baffles me are those situations which get out of hand.
Getting closer and closer to BBC in Fiji
When you set yourself up with intention and a goal in mind, you always set out to do something about it. It is these kind of actions which will lead to your ultimate success in attaining that goal. I set myself a goal to travel the world and I didn't know how it was going to happen, but it is happening and I'm now finishing up this morning in New York city and heading to Toronto this afternoon.
London Life Coaching - the way forward always takes a first step of decision
I just wanted to put up this little post to let people know that primarily my work is currently based in London and the UK. The life coaching and success coaching work started here since I live in London, however it doesn't mean I can't help people from all over the world.
One of my recent clients spent the last 3 months in Canada and we continued our coaching via skype and phone calls. I am currently coaching a lady over email and phone who lives in Hungary.
The trip is less that a few days away
You're probably asking what trip I'm talking about, well if you already know me, then you might be aware that I'm travelling around the world specifically to do a training called Billionaire Bootcamp, however I've also managed to schedule some other fun things in like fashion photo shoots.
Sometimes people ask me how I manage to do so much and all I can say is, if you are truly passionate about something, it never feels stressful, it never feels like work, it just all feels great and moving forward in the direction I'd want it go.
To be truthful, I wouldn't have it any other way. I love my life at the moment. The past 12 months has been by far the most exhilarating and exciting times I can remember. If someone asked me a year ago what I'd be doing now, there is no way I'd be able to say all the things like seen the Dalai Lama, Richard Branson and going to Fiji.
On top of all that, the other day I had a fantastic meeting with Juswant and Sylvia as we discuss moving their project forward and creating an amazing website for their property networking event.
So what does all this mean to you?

Engage Today Experience
Last October I had the privilege to participate in a global conference with world leaders such as The Dalai Lama, ex President De Klerk and business leaders such as Sir Richard Branson and Tony Hsieh.
The event was so significant and there were so many lessons that the organisers have created a 30 DVD set which you can now invest in to further your own education and learning.
