The Development of Coaching has moved on in the UK

The development of coaching in the UK has moved on dramatically over the last few years. I would even go so far as to suggest that mass media products like The Secret has placed the whole idea of personal development and coaching, back into the forefront as learning tools which should be embraced by society.

In the UK, the notion and ideas behind life coaching has always held a stigma, I think perhaps due to the high energy variety imposed by the Americans. The typical British attitude of the stiff upper lip has so far prevailed. I feel that this is changing though. In recent years, there has been a significant increase in seminar activity in London with many great speakers coming from abroad to demonstrate and motivate.

The trick here is to work out who is effective and what is a scam. In the past 5 years, we have gradually moved into a civic age, an age of conformity, truth and honesty, where products and services must ultimately deliver what they promise, and some more additional value on top of that.

This is quite key, and quite genuine because the rise in popularity of personal development in the UK is largely due to the fact that the selling seminars are delivering true value.

I agree, they use fairly polished marketing and sales strategies to sell their coaching and training services, however these are offered at extremely good value and for the most part truly deliver the knowledge people are seeking.

This fits in well with the British culture, people's expectations are being met (despite the high energy methods), and word is spreading about how all this is good for people.

I couldn't agree more. Today I sit here writing this blog from a hotel in Fiji as I am about to embark on a training of my own. If someone asked me one year ago where I'd be and what would I be doing, there would have been no chance I'd be able to answer what is now reality.

In fact, all I did one year ago was ask myself a question and then ask other people the same question. That question was "How can I use my knowledge of online marketing to help other people create successful online enterprises".

That single question has lead me to where I am today. One year ago I was a director in one company. Today I am a director in 6 companies. Today I coach people because in asking that question, I discovered that there really was more that I wanted to do for people. In fact it became more than just helping people gain online success in business, I wanted to help people gain total life success.

Hence the reason for this site, and the services I offer. You might wonder or ask then, if I'm so noble, why not give away the services for free? Well the only way I can do more for people and get access to help even more people, is to ensure that I can make money from this in order to push out a bigger message on a bigger stage.

If I gave it all away for free, there would be no value and no leverage for people to really succeed, and furthermore, I would not have the financial backing in order to develop and train people to serve more people and to help even more people to create that success in their lives too.

You see in our world right now, even though money is overvalued, we still need to pursue it in order to finance the good we are all trying to do. A tip many entrepreneurs will recognise, is that you must feed yourself, before you can feed others.
